design like you give a damn.

Since I was young, I've believed that design can change the world. Wether it is shaping the way that people get to interact with new information they're learning about, to way-finding in order to optimize traffic patterns, to creating a more understandable method to ensure quality of care for people who are sick. Design can make the world a clearer, more cohesive, understanding, and empathetic place.

Fall 2017 graduate from Ohio University, Scripps College of Communication, School of Visual Communication, Information Design. Graduated Cum Laude with a minor in Behavioral Statistics through the Sociology department.

You can find me in… jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers 99.8% of the time.

I am never without… an absurdly large notebook, at least 8 pens, some existential dread.

You might also know me for… my incredibly small, incredibly neat handwriting.

Please reach out if… you have any leads on an A4 dot grid notebook with 160+ gsm paper, or if you just want to chat.

You may have seen me on…

why I do what I do

Everyone makes art when they're young, I just never stopped. Since then, not a day has gone by without me drawing, taking a photograph, or finding a way to visually conceptualize. My relationship with design has given me a unique perspective and unconventional approach to problem solving. As technology plays an increasing role in our daily lives, I think it's important to remember the things that make us human, for me one of the most important is the drive to create.

In my drive to create, I learned I love the feeling of pride and satisfaction I get when I hold something I made with my own hands. This has pushed my pursuit of design in my higher education, I am experiencing the personal development from a kid who made art, to a budding designer. I realize the power of art and design to send a message that can cross language barriers and cut through information overload by implementing aesthetic.

I believe that the majority of the world's problems are caused by the lack of, or ineffective communication. My goal is to maximize and broaden my design skills to help solve these problems.
